At the end of Hooker Rd, off Jefferson Ave is a small slice of Heaven. This is the Salt River Nature Preserve which has great history in the beginning origins of Chesterfield and New Baltimore. Anchor Bay Rotary has built a pollination garden complete with a sitting bench where you can sit and take in the sights of the Salt River. You also will find within the park 8 signs, pictured above that will educate you on several interesting and sometimes unknown facts about the area and its early settlers. We continue each year to build the garden and park area which also now includes a canoe/kayak launch. Each year we hold a clean up of the park in conjunction with Chesterfield’s clean up day. Come out and join us.
